The SMS Garden Club recently took a field trip the Cornucopia location. They helped with the end of Spring harvest and learned all about cold weather greens.

South Meadow School will be testing on the following days:

7th and 5th Grade students were teamed up together for a cooperative advisory activity to see which group could build a tower strong enough to support a tennis ball.
Ten 7th and 8th graders represented South Meadow School at the S.W District Middle School Music Festival this past Saturday. The students spent all day rehearsing extra material with other performers from middle schools throughout South Western NH and put on an amazing concert Saturday evening.

Students in Mrs. Brophy’s Science class worked with John Benjamin from the Harris Center on their bird watching unit. They practiced with binoculars observing birds looking for clues as to what they eat and if they are migratory.
On April 12th, ConVal School Board member and Vietnam Veteran Dick Dunning – who is also a Civil War Reenactor – visited David Allen’s Social Studies class to provide some unique insights into the daily life of a Union soldier.
Students constructed electromagnets and changed variables to make the strongest “fishing pole” in order to collect the most “fish” in our annual Derby.
