On April 12th, ConVal School Board member and Vietnam Veteran Dick Dunning – who is also a Civil War Reenactor – visited David Allen’s Social Studies class to provide some unique insights into the daily life of a Union soldier. The artifacts, history and enthusiasm that he brought to the students was truly impactful as was evident from the recap of his visit later in the week. The eighth grade headed off on the AHT and to Gettysburg with a firmer grasp of the realities that took place there thanks to Mr. Dunning.
