The SMS Blue Pod celebrated outside with a Winter Festival. They were able to compete in sled, egg , and kicking the ball relay races. They also had the chance to sled and snowshoe. They were extremely lucky as this was the warmest day of the winter! (Though not great for the snow!)
SMS students in Mr. Hammett’s IAT class studied the design of packaging and materials. To test their product, they dropped an egg to see if their design prevented the egg from breaking. Someday one of these students may use this experience to pursue a career where they will design a product that will help protect people.
The SMS Yellow Pod celebrated their own Spirit Week the first week in March. Part of the festivities included a Door Decorating Contest (Disney Theme) and a Caricature Contest of the Yellow Pod Teachers. They certainly displayed some amazing creativity! Go Yellow!
In this installment of the Yellow Pod Press, SMS student, Harlan B. gives an insightful view into what life is like at South Meadow School in the 2020-2021 school year following the Covid Protocol.
