The SMS 3D students were busy this year. They created bugs that were displayed in a window for Children in the Art's Festival. They also created light boxes. Each of the lightboxes have two tea candles in them.

Dear Parents of any SMS Student that played a sport or managed a sport at South Meadow School this year.
On June 14th, starting at 6:00 Sharp, the SMS Athletic Department will be hosting the 2021-2022 All SMS Sports Athletic Awards Ceremony in the South Meadow School Gymnasium.
Parents and their athlete or athletes are invited.
Dress is casual, but nice. Please park in the back of the school and come into to the back of the gym as well. There will be about 336 seats available on a first come first served basis, with overflow chairs available as well. The front doors will be locked. Students and parents can sit where they like.
Coaches will introduce their teams, briefly speak about their season, and present some individual awards.
Our two SMS principals will be awarding the male and female SMS 8th grade athletes of the year, and the 8th grade male and female unsung athletes of the year.
Each athlete will receive a South Meadow School Athletic Certificate. Water and cookies will be at the tables that hold 8 people each.
Please come if you can and you will see a fantastic awards ceremony that not many other schools do. This is the final time that our athletic students will be together this year, so I am hoping for a lot of fun.

The idea behind this newsletter is to keep 5th grade parents informed of what students are learning, events coming up, and reminders of important assignments and other miscellaneous happenings. The newsletter is created, designed, and written completely by the students. Editing is also done by the students with the help of Mrs. Hayes and our fantastic Technology Integrator, Theresa Berna.
Mrs. Berna has worked with students over the last few weeks to teach them the skills needed to put together this amazing newsletter. Students have worked very hard and we are so impressed with their creativity, cooperation, and dedication!
The SMS Student Council did a fantastic job for Teacher Appreciation week 2022. They came up with the theme of star wars and have had many out of this world treats for the SMS Staff. Thanks to the VERY generous contributions of the SMS Families, each day gift cards have been raffled out to the staff. It has been an amazing week! Thank you to the entire SMS family, you are all AMAZING!
