Timothy Conway Selected As New SMS Principal

Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders is pleased to announce that Timothy Conway has been selected as the new principal of ConVal School District’s South Meadow School.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tim into his new role as principal. He consistently goes above and beyond his regular responsibilities in efforts to make South Meadow School a better place for both students and faculty,” said Superintendent Rizzo Saunders. “We are looking forward to seeing him implement his vision of excellence for the school, and are excited that he will continue to build upon the relationships he’s fostered during his tenure so far.”

Conway has served as an assistant principal at South Meadow School since August of 2018. He will begin his new position July 1.

He has previously worked as a wellness teacher at ConVal Regional High School and as a physical education instructor for ConVal’s elementary schools.

Conway received a bachelor’s degree in physical education for grades K-12 from Plymouth State University in 2008. In 2017, he also received a master’s degree in educational leadership from Keene State College.

During the 2017-2018 school year, Conway was also honored with ConVal’s Outstanding Teacher Award.

Additionally, Conway is passionate about coaching and served as head coach for high school and college-aged baseball players in Bedford. He was recognized as the youngest coach in the history of American Legion baseball to bring a team to the World Series.

“I am so excited to begin this new role and to be given the opportunity to continue to serve the ConVal School District,” said Assistant Principal Conway. “My last few years at SMS have been nothing but rewarding and I am grateful for the opportunity to remain a part of the school community for years to come.

The search for a replacement for Conway as assistant principal will begin immediately.
